Ian Goldin

Ian Goldin is Professor of Globalisation and Development at the University of Oxford and the founding director of the Oxford Martin School which addresses the world’s biggest challenges. He was previously Vice-President of the World Bank, after serving as Economic Advisor to President Mandela. He has published 25 books, with the most recent being The Shortest History of Migration and Age of the City.

David Aaronovitch

David Aaronovitch is a journalist, author and broadcaster. He has written for ITV, Channel 4, the Independent, the GuardianThe Observer and the Times. His books include a history of conspiracy theories, Voodoo Histories and Party Animals, an account of lives inside the British Communist Party. Since 2016 he has presented BBC Radio 4’s The Briefing Room and his Substack, Notes from the Underground, currently has 16000 subscribers. He has also been known to work for Tortoise.
