David Nicholls is the bestselling author of Starter for Ten, The Understudy, One Day, Us and Sweet Sorrow. One Day was published in 2009 to extraordinary critical acclaim. David is also one of the UK’s most talented and sought-after screenwriters. David has written adaptations of Far from the Madding Crowd, When Did You Last See Your Father? and Great Expectations, as well as of his own novels, Starter for Ten, One Day and Us. His adaptation of Edward St Aubyn’s Patrick Melrose, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was nominated for an Emmy and won him a BAFTA for best writer. The Netflix adaptation of One Day was executive-produced by David.
Kate Weinberg was born and lives in London. She studied English at Oxford and creative writing in East Anglia. The Truants, her first novel, was one of the New York Times Book Review‘s Top Ten Best Crime Novels of 2020, and one of USA Today‘s Best Books of 2020. Her new novel There’s Nothing Wrong With Her was published earlier this month to acclaim by the Telegraph, The Observer, Times Radio, Heat Magazine and BBC’s Today programme.
