Matt Dickinson was a sports writer and columnist for The Times for more than 25 years, covering numerous World Cups, Olympic Games, Ryder Cups and Tour de France races among many sporting events. His awards include sports writer of the year. He is the author of ‘Bobby Moore – The Man in Full’, a bestselling biography about the only Englishman to lift the World Cup, and ‘1999 – Manchester United, The Treble and All That’. He was also a creative consultant for the recent three-part documentary on that historic season. He has ghosted books with David Beckham and Gary Neville, and contributed to the ‘Diego Maradona Opus’. After more than three decades in journalism, Matt has retrained as a psychotherapist, working in private practice and a prison setting. He also continues to write books.
